Sharing a Bountiful Garden…
In the spirit of giving back, this man shares his food harvest with thankful neighbors.
In a low-income neighborhood, this man is growing his own organic fruits and vegetables. He is giving extras to his neighbors that cannot afford to buy fresh produce.
In the 1930s, Americans were plagued with not being able to afford food for their tables. Predictions are now being voiced that we are once again at the precipice of another financial meltdown. Whether that is just talk or not, growing your own veggies makes excellent sense. Start this weekend. Call it a hobby. Grow more than you can eat yourself and maybe you can help your neighbors too.
We have two thriving community gardens in the Heights to help get you started. Gardening can be fun for the whole family!
